Dalton State College is dedicated to providing broad access to quality higher education for the population of Northwest Georgia, thereby enhancing the region's economic vitality and quality of life. As an institution of the University System of Georgia, Dalton State College offers targeted bachelor's degrees, a full range of associate's degrees and career certificate programs, and a wide variety of public service activities. The College's work is strengthened by partnerships between the College and Northwest Georgia businesses and industries, governments, and schools.

The mission of the Daniel J. Kaufman Library & Learning Center is to support the institutional goals of Georgia Gwinnett College, a four-year unit of the University System of Georgia, by serving as a center of education, research and scholarship for the College’s students, faculty and staff.

The DeKalb History Center collects, preserves, and shares the wide-ranging stories of the people and places of DeKalb County.

Since 1995, the Delta Flight Museum has allowed visitors from around the world to explore aviation history, celebrate the story and people of Delta, and discover the future of flight. The Museum was recently renovated into a world-class attraction that offers engaging exhibits and interactive programming for aviation enthusiasts of all ages. Standing in the heart of Delta’s Atlanta headquarters, the 68,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art attraction makes a perfect outing for family, friends, school groups and more. The new space also can be rented for special events, including business meetings, conferences and weddings. With historic glamour and modern amenities, the Museum is a one-of-a-kind venue within a mile of the world’s busiest airport.

The Digital Library of Georgia is a statewide program that works together with Georgia's libraries, archives, museums, governmental agencies, and related institutions to digitize and provide online access to key resources that help to foster an enhanced understanding of Georgia and its people. The Digital Library of Georgia connects users to 500,000 digital objects in 90 collections from 60 institutions and 100 government agencies. Though this represents only a fraction of Georgia's cultural treasures, the Digital Library of Georgia continues to grow through its partnerships with libraries, archives, museums, government agencies, and allied organizations across the state. Based at the University of Georgia Libraries, the Digital Library of Georgia is an initiative of GALILEO, the state's virtual library.
