- A photograph of Colonel Richard Sims, an ordnance officer of the United States Eighth Air Force Headquarters, seated at his desk in December 1944. On the left shoulder of his uniform is the Eighth Air Force insignia. In late April 1942, orders transferred him to Headquarters Eighth Air Force, Savannah, Georgia to join the Advance Echelon, Eighth Air Force, which soon left for duty in England. The back of the photo includes a label that reads: No: B2144, Date:WWII, Sub:Col. Sims, Source: Sims.
