Personally came before me Brockman W. Henderson, a justice of the peace, William S. Wilson, who bing [being] duly sworn deposeth and saith, that he served as a volunteer against the Creek Indians from the
first to the
sixth of December 1835, inclusive and that during that period he commanded a company of volunteers raised in the county of Early for the purpose of repelling the incursions of said Indians --

I, Abednego McGinty Colonel of the 88th Regiment G. M. [Georgia Militia] do hereby certify, that William S. Wilson, served as a volunteer and as the Commander of a volunteer company raised by my orders, to repel the incursions of the Creek Indians, during the period stated in his affidavit --
