Sewing was part of what had historically been titled the "Women's Work" section of the state fair. More dresses hang in the background and jars of preserved fruit sit on a shelf on the far wall. Written on the back of the photograph: "Mrs. Mary E. Humphrey, ass't home demonstration agent Bibb Co., Mrs. Frances Lowe, Bibb Home Demo Agent, Laverne Ruth Young, 4-H Club girl for the past 5 years."
