- Description:
- A photograph of the Woman's Homework exhibit, textile division, at the Georgia State Fair, Macon, Bibb County, Georgia, 1940. Quilting and embroidery are displayed inside of the Smith Art Building (also known as the "Round Building") on the Central City Park fair grounds. Also on display are canned goods, refrigerators advertised as the "Modern Air-Conditioned Ice Refrigerator," and a sculpture exhibit from the Wesleyan Conservatory at the Wesleyan Female College, Macon, Georgia. There are two models in the photograph: one of a Navy ship and another that appears to be a radio tower. And there is a sign for the Young Women's Christian Association. "Sectional View Textile Division Womans Homework 1940 Ga. State Fair" is written on the bottom border of the picture.
