34 Georgia Counties
Active Black Shank infestations have
been found in 34 Georgia counties. Due
to the highly contagious nature of this
costly tobacco disease all farms on which
infestation has been reported have been
placed under State Department of Ag-
riculture quarantine. In two counties,
Decatur and Grady, the infestation has
generally spread throughout the entire
county making it necessary to place both
of these counties under total quarantine.

farms may only be used on the farm on
