** OBITUARY **
JAMES PAUL WYSE departed this life Sunday, October 2,1988.
He was born July 31, 1933 to the parents of the late Luther and Ruth
Wyse. He was reared and educated in Augusta, Georgia.
At a very early age, James committed and dedicated his life to
Christ, and was baptized at Elim Baptist Church where he served
faithfully until his homegoing.
Deacon Wyse loved Elim, and utilized every effort to share in the
churchs programs. He served as a Deacon, having been ordained on
October 31, 1976. Also, he served as President of the Sanctuary Choir,
an office held at the time of his passing. Further, he was a member of the
Board of Trustees of Elim Baptist Church, attended Sunday School on a
regular basis, and supported all auxiliaries and the total mission of the
church.
He was formerly employed by Augusta College in the Plant
Operations Department.
Deacon Wyse will be remembered for his cooperative spirit and
willingness to serve in whatever capacity he could. His unique sense of
humor and his cheerful manner always lifted the spirits of those around
him. Also, his melodious voice will be missed as he sang praises to God.

Grief will not last, joy will return,
For through the tears we clearly see
That while we part hut for a time,
With Christ well spend eternity.

Servant Of God, Well Done
Servant of God, well done; Rest from thy loved employ;
The battle fought, the victory won, Enter thy Masters joy.
The voice at midnight came; He started up to hear;
A mortal arrow pierced his frame; He fell, but felt no fear.
The pains of death are past; Labor and sorrow cease;
And life's long warfare closed at last, His soul is found in peace.
Soldier of Christ, well done; Praise be thy new employ;
And, while eternal ages run, Rest in thy Saviors joy.
