OBITUARY
WHEN A LOVED ONE HAS DIED
The light of life goes out of him. He
cannot speak to us nor we to him. He is gone
and we are left stunned and heartbroken. And
emptiness and loneliness comes into our
hearts. We broken-heartedly say, 'That one
whom we loved is dead". It is such a cold,
hopeless thing to realize.
Mr. Willie T. Thomas, who resided at 821
Hopkins Street, passed away in the Veteran
Administration Medical Center on October 8,
1986. He was bom 1915. He has lived in
Augusta all of his life.
He received his elemental Education from
the Second Ward School; High School - Haines
Institute (Now, Lucy C. Laney); College de-
grees from paine College; Master Degrees from
Atlanta University and Columbia University.
After teaching 38 years in Richmond
County, he retired.
Mr. Thomas was a member of the Macedonia
Baptist Church over 50 years. He was a member
of the Church-Wide Choir (The Sr. Choir).
He married the Miss Juanita Lawrence.
He leaves to mourn his passing, a host
of loving friends and co-workers.
This earth is only a dressing room for
all of us. Let's becareful what we put on.
We all must passed this same way, soon or
later.
"God is our refuge and strength, a very pre-
sent help in trouble".
(Psalm 46:1)
