THE OBITUARY
Mrs. Mary Ella Herrington was born in Augusta, Georgia,
October 7, 1900. At an early age she was converted and baptized
at Elim Baptist Church.
Mrs. Herrington was active in several organizations at Elim.
For many years she served as church clerk, member of the Senior
Choir, Sunday School teacher and pianist. Mrs. Herrington was a
founding member of the C. B. Auffling Club. She worked diligent-
ly with the Senior Mission, and was a supporter of all church acti-
vities.
Mrs. Herrington will be remembered for her love for the arts,
her exactness, charm and elegance.
Let us not mourn her going; let us rejoice to know that earth-
ly labors finished, she was prepared to go. Let us emulate her vir-
tures, that many of us may say: The world is brighter, better, be-
cause she passed this way.
Survivors include a devoted and loving husband, Deacon J.
W. Herrington; one son, Mr. Marion Herrington; one sister, Mrs.
Louise Williams; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Elora Herrington; four

flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the
place thereof shall know it no more. .Psalm 103: 13, 14.
