Smith, Assisting THE OBITUARY Mrs. Mary Ella Herrington was born in Augusta, Georgia, October 7, 1900. At an early age she was converted and baptized at Elim Baptist Church. Mrs. Herrington was active in several organizations at Elim. For many years she served as church clerk, member of the Senior Choir, Sunday School teacher and pianist. Mrs. Herrington was a founding member of the C. B. Auffling Club. She worked diligent- ly with the Senior Mission, and was a supporter of all church acti- vities. Mrs. Herrington will be remembered for her love for the arts, her exactness, charm and elegance. Let us not mourn her going; let us rejoice to know that earth- ly labors finished, she was prepared to go. Let us emulate her vir- tures, that many of us may say: The world is brighter, better, be- cause she passed this way. Survivors include a devoted and loving husband, Deacon J. W. Herrington; one son, Mr. Marion Herrington; one sister, Mrs. Louise Williams; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Elora Herrington; four grandchildren, LashandaHerrington, Pamela Herrington, Phila., Pa.; Tamela Herrington, Tonya Herrington, Augusta, Ga.; other relati- ves and friends. ** THE PROGRAM ** Presiding Reverend Charles E.
