He describes his father's memories of slavery, and the Civil War. He discusses the local NAACP, and a lynching in Richard County, Georgia. Funding for digitization provided by the Georgia Public Library Service, a unit of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, using Library Services and Technology Act funding through the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
