- During an oral history interview on August 12, 1982, Mrs. Agnes Harris describes her family history, working on a tobacco farm, and the important role of religion in her life. She details her family moving to numerous houses in order to continue working as tobacco growers. She also describes buying her first home, and her personal relationship with God. She briefly mentions her husband’s military service, her grandmother’s recollections of slavery, and living in Philadelphia.
