- Postcard (tinted halftone, divided back, 3 ½ x 5 ½ inches) titled Argyle & Sutherland Highlanders, Esplanade, Edinburgh Castle- The card features a photograph of the Argyle & Sutherland Highlanders in formation on the Esplanade at Edinburgh Castle, flanked by a border of clan Gordon and Stewart tartans and the Edinburgh Coat of Arms. No descriptive text on reverse. *Note: B & R’s “Camera” Series was published by Brown & Rawcliffe, Ltd. (1903-1907), a publisher of lithographic postcards of Liverpool, England. These included views of England with a propensity for large Scottish tartan patterned borders and heraldry. Their tinted halftone cards were manufactured in Great Britain.
