- Postcard (color, divided back, 3 ½ x 5 ½ inches) titled Gathering Dulse - Dulse is edible seaweed, often made into soup. The card features a reproduction of a painting by Robert Ronald McIan (1803 – 13 December 1856) who was a Scottish actor and painter. He is best known for romanticized depictions of Scottish clansmen, their battles and domestic life. The illustration was published in the book 'Gaelic gatherings, or the Highlanders at Home on heather, river and loch', published 1847-49. No descriptive text on reverse. Postage required: Inland, 1/2d Foreign, 1d.
