- Postcard (black and white, white border, divided back, 2 7/8 x 4 1/4 inches) titled Royal Hawaiian Hotel, Honolulu. - The Royal Hawaiian opened on February 1, 1927. The six-story, 400-room structure was fashioned in a Spanish-Moorish style, popular during the period and influenced by screen star Rudolph Valentino. The resort was built with a price tag of $4 million, and was completed in 18 months. No descriptive text on reverse. Postage required 1 cent stamp.
