- Postcard (Sepia, divided back, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches) the card is titled Ante Bellum Governor’s Mansion now President’s Home Georgia State College for Women, Milledgeville, Georgia featuring a view of the portico entrance to a multistoried Greek Revival style mansion. The mansion was built in 1839 It served as Georgia’s executive mansion from 1839 – 1868. It became university property in 1889 and was designated a National Historic Landmark for its architecture in 1973. It is an accredited museum of the American Alliance of Museums and in 2015 was named an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution No descriptive text on reverse.
