- Postcard (color, linen textured, divided back, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches) titled Lanier Boys High School, Macon, GA – 26 shows a large, multi-storied brick building. The school, named for poet and Macon native Sidney Lanier, opened in 1913. In 1924, it became a school for boys. Text on reverse: Once an Indian Trading Post, next to grow into Fort Hawkins, this city became known as Macon in 1823. Today, Macon is important both in cultural and industrial fields. Its schools offer more than ordinary educational facilities. Card numbered 30949.
