- Postcard (color, linen textured, divided back, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches) titled A-17 Terminal Station and Plaza, Atlanta, Ga featuring Atlanta’s Terminal Station after its towers were shortened in 1940 to 5 stories in height due to threats of lightning strikes. When the Terminal Station was first built in 1905, its towers rose eight stories in the air and were built after the Spanish Renaissance style. It was among the largest railroad stations in the country. The station was demolished in 1971. Text on reverse: The Atlanta Terminal Station is one of the most attractive and best equipped passenger depots in the South. It is served by approximately 100 passenger trains daily, operated by four railroad companies – Southern Railway, Central of Georgia, Atlanta & West Point Railroad, and Seaboard Air Line.
