- Postcard (color, divided back, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches) featuring a multi-storied brick building with massive columns on its front portico. At the time of its construction in 1941, the Fine Arts Theatre was the most expensive building on campus, according to the UGA Department of Theatre website, and it was the last project completed by the Works Project Association. Text on reverse: KA1-Fine Arts Building – The University of Georgia, whose history dates from 1785, is the oldest chartered state university. Starting out as a college of liberal arts, the university now includes 10 schools and colleges of instruction, is co-educational and has a yearly enrollment of over three thousand. (According to Wikipedia, UGA had an enrollment of 3,000 in 1937. It increased to almost 4,000 by1941.) Card number K9174.
