- Postcard (color, linen textured, white border, divided back, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches) titled The Chapel, University of Georgia. The card features a Greek Revival structure with six massive Doric columns. Text on reverse: G.143 University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia. The Chapel was built in 1832. It houses one of the largest mounted oil paintings in the world, a view of the interior of St. Peter's Chapel in Rome. The Chapel bell rings at night following Georgia football victories. Postmarked Aug 11 1964 Athens GA. Message dated 8-10-64. Postage affixed - 5 cent blue Washington stamp.
