- Postcard (color, linen textured, divided back, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches) titled A-84 First Christian Church, Athens, Ga, featuring the street view of a building labeled A-84 The First Christian Church, Athens, Georgia. The building was designed by G. W. Kramer, architect. Grandison M. Caskey served as contractor for the construction of the Akron Plan facility, a scheme for the design of churches and other religious buildings that housed Sunday schools characterized by a set of wedge-shaped classrooms The building was dedicated on Sunday, December 19, 1915, with a building cost of $46,000.Text on reverse: The First Christian Church was organized in May 1876. The present building was completed in December 1915. It houses a congregation of the communion known as Disciples of Christ and is dedicated to the restoration of New Testament Christianity and to the unity of God's People.
