The cathedral is described as an architectural masterpiece of the French-Gothic style. It serves as the seat of the diocese of Savannah. The current structure has recently undergone a major renovation. In April 2020, the Pope designated the Cathedral as a Minor Basilica. Text on reverse: Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Savannah, Georgia. This Roman Catholic cathedral was erected in 1898. It is one of the largest and most beautiful in this part of the country. Printed in Ireland. Card number 2US GA 168.
