- Image of 43 individuals gathered at the front of the Catterton's Southland Hotel in Carrollton, GA. According to an October 31st, 1897 article in The Rome Tribune, the Southland was a three-story frame with twenty-five handsomely furnished sleeping rooms supplied with electric lights and call bells. The Southland was conveniently located close to the train station and was managed by Mrs. George Chatterton starting in 1891. Notations on the image indicate that some of the people present are: Victor Grow, Luney Chandler, Miss Butler, Lucy Sharp, R.L.S., Mrs. R.L.S., A.W. Alex, J.G. Cheney, Will Sharpe, Harry Gordon, J.D. Sewell, Mark Sharpe, and Annie Sharpe.
