- Part one of a two-part recording. Art Rosenbaum records Joe Chancey and Chesley Chancey on banjo. In an interview with Chesley Chancey, he talks about places in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Fannin and Gilmer Counties, such as Hells Holler and Devil's Den. He discusses playing the fiddle versus playing the banjo, and making whiskey and brandy. Chesley Chancey formed the Chancey Brothers band with his brother Joe. Before that, he was a member of the Boardtown String Band, and they played at schools and dances. The Chancey Brothers played on the radio at WLSB at Copper Hill, and did road shows. They also played at the Georgia Grass Roots Festivals in Atlanta.
