- Two news segments from WXIA-TV Atlanta about Mabel Cawthorn's arrest for selling marijuana in December 1982. The video shows Georgia Bureau of Investigation officers and Franklin County Sheriff Joe Foster searching Cawthorn's home while she jokes with the men, and plays piano for the officers and the news media. A voice-over by Tom Jackson of 11 Alive News explains the details of her arrest, probotion and possible jail time. A second news segment shows Cawthorne's release from prison. It includes a brief interview with Cawthorne, who says that she made many good friends in prison. Cawthorn began her 11 month sentance in February 1984, and served it at the Georgia State Prison in Milledgeville, Georgia.
