- Description:
- Video of interview with Z. B. Armstrong at his home. Armstrong is an artist from McDuffie County, who is known for his box calendars, which aim to predict the date of doomsday. He also makes objects out of concrete and wood, including furniture. He is asked questions about his art, and Armstrong discusses stories that inspire him, such as the story of Samson and Delilah, and the sinking of the Titanic, and discusses at length the interplay between the sun and the moon. Armstrong is asked early in the interview about his story of being visited by an angel, who told him that the end of the world was coming. Armstrong also discusses picking cotton for work, and the large amounts he could pick in a day.
