- Interviews with Deacon Jim Cook, Lawrence McKiver, and Oneitha Ellison of the McIntosh County Shouters. Cook talks about working on steam ships and sings a shanty they used to sing on the ship. He also discusses "shouting," a religious dance that started with African slaves. Ellison and McKiver also discuss shouting and its history and McKiver sings a couple songs. The McIntosh County Shouters perform some shouting at a church in McIntosh County, Georgia.
