- Description:
- Video of Lawrence Eller on banjo and vocals, with Ross Brown accompanying him on fiddle. They play "The Train Song," "Old Time Religion," and "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot," among other songs, and Art Rosenbaum accompanies them on guitar. The musicians play outside at Lawrence Eller's home in Hiawasssee, Georgia. A small group of people listen nearby, including Lawrence's mother Leathe, and children play in the background. Lawrence Eller talks about the beekeeping equipment that is in his backyard, and talks about beekeeping. He tells Rosenbaum that the town used to have dances in the nearby fields. He gives a tour of his property, and shows the log barn that he built with his father. Eller describes the process of notching logs and building the structure. Eller feeds his chickens and roosters. Between songs, Rosenbaum asks Eller and Brown questions about their history with music.
