- Journal of the Senate of Georgia and includes a letter from Joseph E. Brown, Governor of Georgia, concerning issues to be addressed by the body which were substitutes in the army, deserters and stragglers from the army, exemption of state officers, pay of soldiers, clothing our troops in service, support of soldiers' families, assistance to counties overrun by the enemy, provision supply, state troops, military appropriation, taxation, the currency, impressment of private property, income tax, public printing, correspondence with the British consul, salaries of public officers and agents, salt supply, cotton cards, treasury certificates for state treasury notes, Western and Atlantic Rail Road, reorganization of the militia and the home guard, right to elect officers, Georgia Military Institute, the state university, day of fasting humiliation and prayer. The Senate also dealt with a variety of other governmental business.
