- Journal of the Senate of Georgia and includes a letter from Joseph E. Brown, Governor of Georgia, concerning issues to be addressed by the body which were the five million appropriation, treasury notes, Confederate war tax, Comptroller General's department, state troops, state armory, change bills, bridge guards and home protection, distillation, salaries of public officers, the families of our soldiers in service, exemption of soldiers from taxation, clothing for the Georgia troops, cotton and provisions, Western & Atlantic Railroad, defence of Savannah, state university, penitentiary and asylums, obstructions of our rivers, military organization of the state, Georgia Military Institute, Adjutant and Inspector General, appropriation for military puposes, small pox, and salt. The Senate also dealt with a variety of other governmental business.
