- Deed of conveyance dated May 21, 1818. Dorothy VanYeveren, widow of Myndert VanYeveren of Liberty County, sold to Audley Maxwell, planter of Liberty County, for $200 a 300-acre tract of land on Colonels Island called Vandykes Land [or Van Dyke's Land], bounded north by the estate of Daniel Myers, east and south by Newport River marshes and Vandyke's Creek, and west by land vacant at time of survey. Printed and handwritten. Witnessed by Louisa F. Alexander, Samuel Wilkins, and J.A. Cuthbert, Judge of Liberty County Inferior Court.
