- Description:
- Letter from W. King addressed to Roswell King at Farmington, dated at Greenville, S.C., on September 21, 18??. Says and he brother Barrington had visited the land their father had chosen in Cobb County and were fully satisfied with his choice. Says it is situated well water-wise and he has no doubt that cotton factories "will yield us very large profits." Good manager required. With poor land surrounding their land, they need not fear being annoyed by bad neighbors. Extolls the healthful situation of the county and the prospect of good schools that would avert the need to risk their numerous children's morals by sending them to school "abroad." Promises to look for good horses.
