Letter from Julia R. King, Merritt Island, Florida, to Mrs. Alexander Caison, McIntosh (post office), Georgia dated December 20, 1941. Describes her busy life working toward adding to the food supply for the war effort with her war garden. Describes great excitement over the war locally: soldiers going through in trucks all day and night, and a pass needed for her workers to cross the causeway to Merritt Island. Says coast is well guarded and "flying machines go over my head every few hours, night &day." Describes situation of her home at Merritt Island.
