- Image depicting buildings on the campus of Brenau College-Conservatory in Gainesville, GA. The back of the postcard provides a brief history of Brenau College, stating that it was originally founded in 1878 by Dr. W.C. Wilkes as the Georgia Baptist Seminary for Young Ladies. Dr. Wilkes died in 1886 and the property was purchased by Professor A.W. VanHoose and the name changed to the Georgia Female Seminary. Four years later, in 1900, the school name was changed to Brenau College-Conservatory.
