- Photograph features a color image of the First Baptist Church in Gainesville, Georgia, featuring a green dome at the top of the building. The church building was built downtown on the corner of East Washington and Green Streets and dedicated in 1909. The church roof and dome were wrecked during the tornado of 1936 that went through the center of town. On the night of February 12, 1960, a fire destroyed the sanctuary.
