Justices of the Peace in and
for the County and State aforesaid

To William Taylor, constable, and the keeper of
the common jail of said county.
Whereas two negro boy slaves belonging
to and the property of Jacob Martin of the
county of Forsyth in said state by the names
of Andy and Eleck or Alexander, and two
negro boy slaves belonging to and the
property of Samuel Julian of said county of
Forsyth by the names of Marion and Sampson have been arrested for a suspicion of a
felony committed by them the said Andy, Elick,
Marion & Sampson in breaking,
entering, stealing, setting fire to and burning
the store house and stock of goods of Truman
H. Sanford & Co. in said county on the night
of the twenty-eighth day of May instant
Whereupon the said Andy, Ellick,
Marion and Sampson have been duly
examined by and before us concerning
the same, and the said examination
taken before us doth induce [?] a strong
presumption that that are guilty thereof.
These are therefore to command you
the said William Taylor constable, to
safely convey the said negro boy slaves
to the keeper of the common jail, of said
County of Lumpkin and safely deliver them together
with this writ - and to require and
command you, the said keeper of the

of the common jail, aforesaid that
you receive the said negro boy slaves
Andy Ellick Marion and
Sampson aforesaid into your custody
in the said Jail there to remain until
they be delivered from your custody by
due course of the law.
