Report of Division of Negroes belonging to the Estate
of Henry R. Sadler, late of Duval County deceased
amongst the Heirs and Distributes of said Estate.
The
undersigned administrators and Administratrix of the
said Estate beg leave to report to the Honorable Court of
Probate of Duval County that by agreement between the adults
heirs and the said [Catharine] A. Sadler as guardian for the minor
heirs of said deceased, the slaves remaining on hand
for distribution after the payment of all just debts, were
divided and set apart to each heir as follows the val-
uation of said slaves, as set forth in the appraisement
being adopted as a basis of valuation for the division that
is to say To Mrs. [Catharine] A. Sadler, the Widow was assigned
the following, to wit
Mitchel and Betsey with their children
Silvy and Sandy and Wellington valued by
original appraisement at $5,950
To Mrs. C. A. Shanklin
George Miley and their children
Valued at $- [blank]
Bob and Hagar and their children
Valued at $5,800
Amy at 800
making together the value of $6,600
To Houston M. Sadler
Camden & Julia and their family valued at $4000.00
Lee & Die and family value $3,200

different heirs and to be equalized by further payment from
those having an excess and from the other assets of the Estate
They beg further to report
that a part of the above mentioned Slaves did not belong
to the Estate of the late Henry R. Sadler, but to the said
[Catharine] A. Sadler for life and then to her children, who the
said [Catharine] A. Sadler relinquished her life estate and threw
the same into a general division - In consideration of
which it has agreed She should receive the shares as
above mentioned. The above arrangement between the
mother and her children the said heirs, was made with
the knowledge and consent of the then judge of Probate of

All of which is respectfully sub-

The undersigned Administrators and Adminis-
tratrix of the said Estate beg leave to Reports to the
Honorable Court of Probate of Duval County that by
agreement between the adult heirs and the said [Catharine] A.
Sadler as guardian for the minor heirs of said
deceased, the Slaves remaining on hand for distribution
after the payment of all just debts, were divided and
set apart to each heir as follows the Valuation of said
Slaves as set forth in the appraisement being adopted
as a basis of valuation for the division that is to say
To Mrs. [Catharine] A. Sadler the widow were assigned the
following to wit,

agreed that who should receive the share as above

Mother and her children the said heirs was made

Probate of Duval County
