Know all men by these presents that
no Henry R. Sadler and Houston M. Sadler Admini-
strators of the Estate of Henry R. Sadler late of this
County deceased, Have Constituted and appointed
and by their presents do Constitute and appoint
Edwin R. Alberti our true and lawful agent and
Attorney in such hereby granting him full power
to convey to [?] distant State the following slaves to wit
Nan a woman about thirty Eight years of age and
her children male and female to wit Mary about
Sixteen years old Louis fourteen years Alonzo about twelve
Adolphus about [words deleted: twelve] ten John about Eight Andrew
about six and Jesse about four years of age then and
there to sell and dispose of said Slaves for the best
advantage of said Estate and the future Comfort and
well being of said Slaves having in view as a primary
object however the securing a purchaser who will
make a kind and humane master and will attend as
well to the moral as physical training of said younger
Slave our said Attorney to Exercise a sound discretion
in securing the above object. Hereby giving and
granting unto our said Attorney full powers to each
in the premises and to make Conveyances of said
Slaves and to give receipts and discharges for the 5
Consideration money for which they may be sold

all lawful acts and doings which our said Attorney
may find it necessary and proper to be done in and
about the premises with power to appoint other attorney or
Attorneys in his place to act as witness whereof no
