Know all men by these presents, that I
Maria [C?] Delony of Camden County, Georgia,
for & in consideration of the sum of nine hundred
and fifty dollars, to me in hand paid by E. R. Alberti, of Nassau
County, Florida, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, Have
bargained & sold & delivered, & by these presents [ditto] bargain
sell & deliver unto said [Edwin] R. Alberti a Negro Slave named
Adam, about twenty two years of age - To Have & to Hold
the said Negro Slave unto the said [Edwin] R. Alberti, his Heirs,
Executors, Administrators & assigns forever[.]
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand
at Woodstock Mills, State & County first named the
seventeenth day of [September], in the year of our Lord, one
thousand Eight hundred & fifty two[.]
