Affidavit of Edwin R. Alberti concerning accounts of Catharine Sadler and her daughter, C. A. Shanklin

State of Florida

Know all Men by these Presents
That I Clarissa C. Anderson of the City of St. Augustine, Executrix
of the Estate of Dr. Andrew Anderson deceased, for and in consideration
of Seven Hundred Dollars to me in hand paid by Edwin R. Alberti,
of Woodstock, Nassau County, in said State, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, have bargained and sold, and by these presents do bargain,
sell, deliver and convey to the said Edwin R. Alberti a certain Negro
Man named Ned, of the age of about Twenty-five Years[.]

To have and to hold the said Negro man Ned to him the said Edwin
R. Alberti and to his heirs and Assigns forever.
In witness whereof, I the said Clarissa C. Anderson Executrix as,
aforesaid, have hereunto set my hand and seal this Ninth day
of June, in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred
and fifty.

I hereby Certify that on this day, Clarissa C. Anderson
(to me personally known as the individual described in, and who executed the
above instrument of writing) appeared before me and acknowledged
that she signed and sealed, and as and for her act and deed, delivered
the same for the purposes and uses therein Expressed.
In Testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand, at the
city of St. Augustine, in said County the 11th day of
June, in the year of our Lord 1850.
