The last will of
John S. Poole resident
of Said County and
State I John S. Poole being of sound
mind but aware of the uncertainty of life
do hereby make constitute ordain and
publish this my last will and testament in
Manner & form to wit -
1 Item I bequeath my body to the dust and
My Soul to God, who give it
2 Item I desire that my body by decently
interred. And that all my just debts be
paid
3rd. I bequeath to my beloved wife Charlotte
Poole for and during her natural life
the following property to wit One Negro
woman named Rose Yellow complexion
one bureau known as her bureau Two
beds & furniture two Cows and Calves
1 Set of Chairs and one Table and
Two hundred Dollars All of which
She is to have during her life or
Widowhood
4 Item I wish my Executors to sell all my
property both real and personal except
the above named and the money equally
divided among my children to wit Sarah
Simmons John Florence Elza [?] Wood Martha
Ann Mary Ann Enoch Wesly Minerva
Jane Cicero Asbury & Louie Coke,
adding in what they have each
received from me heretofore which will
be found in a book kept by me for that
purpose. It being my object to treat them
all alike

Paulding County.
TO ALL WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME--GREETING:
Know Ye That on the Third day of
March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
Sixty two the last Will and Testament of John S. Poole
late of Paulding County deceased,
was exhibited in open Court, and in common form of law, proved and admitted to record, a copy
of which is hereunto annexed, and administration of all and singular, the Goods, Chattels and
Credits of said deceased was granted to [Elizabeth] W. Poole and
N. N. Beall
the executors in and by said Will named and appointed, they having firsttaken the oath, and
performed all other requisites required by law, they by order of said Court, and by virtue
of these presents, legally authorized to administer the Goods, Chattels and Credits of said decea-
sed, according to the tenor and effect of the said Will and Testament, and according to law; and
They hereby required to render a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the Goods, Chat-
tels and Credits of the said deceased, and appraised and returned to this Court according to law,
and to render a true and correct account to the said Court of their actings and
doings yearly, and every year, until their administration is fully completed.
WITNESS, my hand, as Ordinary, and the Seal of the said Court, this third
day of March eighteen hundred and [words deleted: fifty] Sixty two

County deceased William F. Meadows
one of the witnesses to said will and
Said Will having been brought before
me for probate of the same by [Elizabeth]
W. Poole and N. N. Beall the Executors
therein named he the said witness
depose of the same that he saw saw
John S. Poole Sign and publish
the same as his last will and testament
on the day and year therein stated
As Executed by him he the said [William] F.
Meadows Witnessed the same at his
Request and in his presence and
in the presence of Jacob Meadows and
William B. Turner that the same was
voluntarily executed by him while he
was of sound mind and memory
