Dear Sir:
I am induced from [indiscernible] circumstances
to make a request of you, which no doubt, will appear
somewhat strange, that I should be under the necessity of so doing
abroad. I am extremely anxious to raise one thousand dollars
by the 25th [ultimately?] in order to relieve my securities from responsibility
and possess property in this place to at least that
amount, (a likely negro woman, and boy child about seven years
old,) this amount I am desirous of obtaining, from you till
The first of May, next, for which favor I will make to you
a Bill of Sale to above property and pay interest upon the
money up to that time. If this solicited kindness meets
with your convenience and willingness to preform, please
inform me who to deliver the instrument of security to
