- Description:
- Leila Ross Wilburn, one of Georgia's first female architects, designed the Plaza West Apartment Homes building in midtown Atlanta in 1913. This image shows the three-story Plaza West, a brick apartment building with a sloped roof. Large windows with decorative white balustrades (railings) are visible on each floor level. In front of the building, a sidewalk runs parallel to the street; a small tree and some shrubs are planted near the building's foundation. An informational sign with red and white text that reads "Plaza West Apartment Homes" is situated on the grass near the sidewalk. A white station wagon is parked on a quiet residential street. Variant names include: 266 11th Street [Atlanta, Georgia], Plaza West Apartment Homes, Piedmont Park Apartments.
