- Description:
- Home for J. D. Roberts, built circa 1858, and designed by architect John Trowbridge (1817-1894). The building is a small, single-story, light-colored wooden house with a gabled roof and red brick foundation. A small set of steps flanked by railings leads up to an elevated central porch featuring a wooden façade and lattice skirting below. Two large shuttered windows flank the sides of an ornate entrance door with glass panels. Located across from the Burke County Museum on Liberty Street. Variant names include: Waynesboro.
