- The McIntosh Inn at Indian Springs, built in 1823 by Creek leader William McIntosh. The hotel thrived as a popular resort until the 1930s. In 1925, McIntosh had signed the Treaty of Indian Springs with the U.S. government at the McIntosh Inn. Three months later, he was murdered by angry Creeks who considered his signature a betrayal.
