- Description:
- This anonymous marcher was born in Brunswick, Ga. Her father was a geology researcher. Her mother was a nurse. She lives in Athens, Ga. On January 21, 2017, millions of people worldwide took part in marches to protest the inauguration of Donald Trump as the President of the United States. The first protest, which took place in Washington, D.C., was known as the Women's March on Washington and was intended as a response to anti-woman rhetoric and beliefs that were espoused during Trump's campaign. While women's and reproductive rights were at the forefront of marchers' concerns, many also protested the racist, anti-immigrant, anti-science, and other controversial sentiments expressed by the incoming Trump administration.
In this interview, Anonymous marcher discusses her past evangelical and missionary religious work. She also discusses how she moved away from that lifestyle. She also focuses on her relationships with Tea Party relatives and her reaction to Trump's election. She discusses attending the Atlanta March for Social Justice and Women. - Metadata URL:
