- Description:
- Tai Sherman was born in Kalamazoo, Mich. in 1978 and has been involved in activism and non-profit work, including recently for the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia. Sherman currently serves as the Director of Development for the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga.
In this interview, Tai Sherman begins by describing her parents' influence on her own progressive values and her activism prior to the Women's March. She then discusses the negative impact of the presidential election on her life and why she felt motivated to join the march in Atlanta, Ga. As she continues, Sherman details her experience of the march and her perspective on its inclusion of people of color. Finally, she concludes by looking to the future and discussing her own activism after the march, her hopes and fears for the county, and her advice for other activists. - Metadata URL:
