The Savannah Collge of Art and Design was founded in 1978, at which time it occupied one building, the former Savannah Volunteer Guard Armory, built in 1892. The building was later named Poetter Hall, and the Savannah College of Art and Design has expanded to encompass campuses in Savannah, Atlanta, Hong Kong and Lacoste, France, over 100 buildings and over 10,000 students. - Local Identifier:
