The Old Government House was built in 1801 as the courthouse for Richmond County in Georgia. The two-storied Greek Revival home is frame with clapboarding. The outbuildings include a kitchen, storage house, and well house. The structure was restored in 1977 by the Augusta Junior League Assembly and the city of Augusta. - Local Identifier:
