- In the interview, Mr. Askew recounts his time in the Army during World War II, his life as a straight married man and life as gay man. He also describes his social life with his wife and their circle of friends; his wife's sewing activities; and contact with the gay community.
Jeff Askew, bon in 1923, lived and attended school in College Park, Georgia. He served in World War II for three years and returned to College Park after his discharge from the service. He married in 1949 and remained married until the death of his wife. - Local Identifier:
